उत्तर प्रदेश का एक छात्र जिसे अंग्रेजी ना आने की वजह से कानपुर के एक कॉलेज का फॉर्म नहीं मिला था। उस छात्र ने खुद से किताबें खरीद कर पढाई करी और एक ही बार में IIT और GMAT जैसे एग्जाम क्रैक कर दिए। नवनीत सिकेरा एक निर्धन ग्रामीण माध्यम परिवार से तालुक्क रखते थे पर अपने बल पर उन्होंने IIT रुड़की से इंजीनियरिंग पूरी करी। नवनीत ने अपने सपने पूरे करने के लिए खुद लड़ाई करी और आज एक बेहतरीन IPS अफसर हैं। उन्होंने बिना किसी कोचिंग के पहली बार में ही सिविल सर्विसेज का एग्जाम निकाला। जब पुलिस ने उनके पिता के साथ बुरा व्यवहार किया था उसी दिन उन्होंने निश्चित किया कि वे अब पुलिस में ही जाएंगे। पहली बार में ही एएसपी बन गए। नवनीत सिकेरा एनकाउंटर स्पेशलिस्ट के नाम से भी जाने जाते हैं क्योंकि वे अब तक 56 एनकाउंटर कर चुके हैं । इनकी जाबाज़ कहानी जानने के लिए देखें यह जोश Talk। IPS Officer Navniet Sekera's story is a living example of 'How to become successful in life'. Having studied from a Hindi medium school in a village in Uttar Pradesh, he was denied an admission form in Hansraj College, Delhi University. But with his hard work and passion, he cracked IIT JEE exam and got into IIT Roorkee. He also cleared UPSC Civil Services Exam. IPS Officer Navniet Sekera has served the Indian Police Services for more than 20 years. He is famously called an Encounter Specialist with a record of 56 encounters.
