Support our work! undefined बुरे हालत और मुश्किल समय में इंसान ज़्यादातर हार मान लेता है | इन हालातों से डरना नहीं पर हिम्मत के साथ लड़ना चाइए | हौसले बुंलद हो तो कोई भी काम मुश्किल नहीं है| ऐसी ही मिसाल कायम की सुनीता चौधरी जी ने, जो उत्तर भारत की पहली महिला ऑटो रिक्शा चालक हैं| सुनीता जी को साल 2017 में भारत की 100 शिखर महिलाओं में से एक होने का गौरव भी हासिल हुआ, जिसके लिए उन्हें राष्ट्रपति भवन में सम्मानित किया गया था | उनके संघर्ष की कहानी, कोई आम कहानी नहीं है| उत्तर प्रदेश के एक छोटे से गांव से ताल्लुक रखने वाली सुनिता का संघर्ष किसी कहानी से कम नहीं है| सुनिता का बाल विवाह करवा दिया गया था| शादी के बाद अक्सर ससुराल वाले दहेज के नाम पर मारा-पीटा करते थे और Mental Torture करते थे| उनके ससुराल वाले दहेज़ के भूके और माता पिता रूढ़ीवादी थे| एक बार की बात है, सुनीता के ससुराल वाले उन्हें हरयाणा के अपने घर लेके आये जहां पे उन्होंने उसे बहुत पीटा और अधमरा हालत में छोड़ दिया | वो अपनी जान बचाने के लिए भागी और इस एक हादसे ने सुनीता जी की ज़िन्दगी बदल दी| सुनीता जी वहां से दिल्ली आई | अनजान शहर में बिना किसी जानपहचान के, सुनीता जी ने दर दर की ठोकरें खाई लेकिन हिम्मत नहीं छोड़ी| उनहोंने अपना पेट भरने के लिए काम ढूंढा, छोटे-मोठे काम किये, बर्तन मांजे, सब किया| एक दिन उन्हें ऑटो रिक्शा चलाने का ख्याल आया| उन्होंने गाड़ी चलाने का प्रशीक्षड लिया और साल 2004 में ऑटो रिक्शा चलाना शुरू कर दिया, लेकिन ये इतना आसान नहीं जितना लगता था| उस दौरान उन्हें काफी मुश्किलों का सामना करना पड़ा था, पर वो डटी रहीं| आज सुनीता करीब 40 साल की हैं| आज भी रोज सुबह सफेद सूट- सलवार और भूरे रंग के जूते पहन कर दिल्ली की सड़कों पर ऑटो रिक्शा चलाती हैं| सुनीता चौधरी जी की प्रेरणात्मक कहानी जानने के लिए देखें ये जोश टॉक| Sunita Chaudhary, the famous female auto-driver in Delhi, who made her way through all the difficulties and miseries of life, who has been driving an auto for the past 12 years, is the first woman auto driver in the Capital. It has not been an easy road for Sunita Chaudhary as there has been a lot of struggle throughout her childhood. Sunita grew up in an orthodox village in Bahadurpur. She was married at the young age of 14 years to a very abusive husband and, lacking support from her parents or in-laws, Sunita went through a lot of difficulties in life. One day her in-laws took her away to a very abandoned house in Haryana, to kill her once and for all But she somehow managed to run away from them with torn clothes and broken bones. She escaped from there and came to Delhi. Clueless about her next step, and ill-equipped for life in the big and alien city as a single woman, she lived at a shelter home at the beginning of her stay in the Capital Sunita struggled to make ends meet, and took odd jobs to make her living, however, one day whilst riding a local bus, Sunita watched the driver and decided that she would learn to drive and make her living as an auto rickshaw driver. She overcame multiple hardships in life. She lost her newborn child, her family refused to accept her. Sunita came to the new city and in the search of the roof, she slept on the footpaths. She gathered courage and she kept trying. Her attitude to never give up and keep trying. Sunita worked on her own personal development and now she is a working woman with her own house and an auto rickshaw.
