IAS Officer Cried at his Success Story Speech | Varun Baranwal

From repairing cycles to becoming an IAS officer, Varun Baranwal owes it all to his mother. Varun Baranwal was born in Boisar, in Palghar district of Maharashtra, where his father owned a cycle repair shop. Despite being brought up in a household with four siblings and meagre means of support, he always dreamt of becoming a doctor. All his hopes were crushed when his father died of a heart attack when he was in Class X. Baranwal Varunkumar Jagdish IAS is the UPSC Topper 2013. He gives the credit of his success to parents saying, “My family and all those people who helped me are very happy for me. I am elated because I was able to fulfil my father’s dream. Though I feel sad that he is not alive to see his son become an IAS officer.
